CRHD May 2026 Newsletter

Dear Friends,

As nearly 6 months has passed since our last newsletter, we are pleased to share an update on the work of the CRHD, reflecting on recent developments, ongoing challenges, and the signs of hope that we have witnessed. We trust that these updates will encourage you and assure you that your prayers and support continue to make a meaningful difference.

During this period, the work at Kids Paradise School and the Nutan Tailoring Centre has continued steadily, adapting to changing circumstances whilst remaining focused on education, skills development, and holistic care. At the school, efforts have remained centred on providing a stable learning environment for children from disadvantaged backgrounds, supporting their educational progress and overall wellbeing. Across both projects, we have been encouraged by the resilience shown by staff, students, and trainees, and we give thanks for God’s sustaining grace in all that has been undertaken.

All children have done their best in their final exams and they (and we!) are delighted with their results. Now the school is on its summer break until the 29th of May. No doubt they miss the Kids Paradise environment, where education, recreation, and shared mealtimes are experienced together, overcoming differences of caste and religion.

The school held the ‘Vocational Bible School’ from the 7th to 15th of April. It was good to see 135 children attending daily. This year, they focused on the theme of “Be Bold” based on Proverbs 28:7. It gave them the opportunity to learn about various biblical characters who were called to be courageous and not to be afraid to do God’s work. The bible school consists of learning new songs, memorising new verses, a quiz based on their daily lessons, and acting out the lesson of the day, plus of course enjoying their hot lunch.

A very important part of this week was to see the excitement of staff who come from different backgrounds taking interest in preparing the lessons, reading the Bible, praying and trying to understand the lesson for their own lives. The children are currently enjoying a well‑deserved summer break. We give thanks for the dedication of the teaching and support staff, whose faithful commitment to nurturing the children’s academic and personal development during a challenging time has clearly borne fruit.

The staff gather monthly to pray for the CRHD family and for the nation. Although many of our staff come from other religious backgrounds, having experienced our care and love, they are willing to join in prayer to Jesus and to open their hearts to the Word of God. They are grateful for the prayers and support offered during these challenging times which have reassured them that they are valued and cared for. This reminds us that even the smallest acts of generosity are being well-used and continue to bring encouragement and transformation to the lives of both our children and staff.

The CRHD Tailoring Centre continues to be a blessing to many women, equipping them with practical skills that enable them to support themselves and their families. Women from diverse backgrounds attend regularly and benefit from the centre’s flexible, caring, and welcoming environment. This is enabling them to grow in confidence and work towards greater self‑reliance.

Alongside learning tailoring skills, many women grow in confidence, dignity, and a strong sense of mutual support. We are encouraged by the progress made by several students and give thanks to God that the centre continues to be a place of learning, motivation, and fellowship.

Looking ahead, we remain hopeful and prayerful about the future of the work entrusted to us. Our ongoing vision is to strengthen and sustain Kids Paradise School and the Nutan Tailoring Centre so that they may continue to serve their communities with compassion and purpose. We seek to build on what has been established, deepen the impact of education and skills training, and respond faithfully to emerging needs as God opens new doors. As we move forward, we do so with trust in God’s guidance and with gratitude for your continued prayers, encouragement, and partnership in this shared ministry.

We wish to express our sincere thanks for your ongoing prayerful support of Kids Paradise School and the Nutan Tailoring Centre in India, whether through standing orders or one‑off donations. Your generosity and faithfulness have continued to sustain this work, and we are deeply grateful to each of you for your valued partnership in this ministry, reaching out to those who are less‑privileged. We hold you in our prayers and trust that, together, we will continue to walk forward in faith, guided by God’s grace and love. May God richly bless you and those you serve.

Please pray for:

1.     Thank God for the generous donations and faithful prayers that continue to support the work of CRHD and its projects. Donations can always be made here or by sending a cheque to our treasurer.

2.     Praise God for the commitment of the CRHD teaching staff, who continue to serve diligently and faithfully despite receiving only a very small stipend.

3.     Pray for God’s continued protection over the staff, children, and women who attend the school and the tailoring centre.

4.     Pray for the provision of £30,000 per year to enable us to pay staff salaries, provide midday meals, uniforms, books, and transport for the children, and to continue supporting the women’s centre.

5.     Pray for the Tailoring Centre, that it may find creative and innovative ways to equip and support women during these difficult times.

6.     Pray that CRHD may continue to be a witness to God’s love and faithfulness within India’s caste‑dominated society.

7.     Pray that CRHD may gain more friends and partners who will pray, promote the work, and help raise the necessary finances to sustain the vision and enable future growth.

With heartfelt gratitude and blessings.
